what is the most important technology invention to benefit society?

In my opinion the television is the most important invention to benefit society. The television provides three main things, entertainment, news, and learning. Comedy, reality, horror and romance are just a few themes that t.v. shows and movies focus on for the viewers entertainment. The weather, whats going on where, with who, and why is our new, whether its about gossip or just the local area. From entertainment to news its all about learning something new.

In our everyday lives we go through many things, heart breaks, happy moments, and getting mad at your boss or people on the road. So when you come home from work your in the mood to just relax. Kick back in some comfy clothes and turn on the t.v. to watch you favorite show and or movie. Now a days producers have not only taken fantasy to make shows but also reality. The crazy thing is that its what most Americans are watch today. Even entertainment though could be telling us something thats going on in the world.

Global warming, what new businesses are arising, stock markets, violence, and gossip. These are few of the many things we see in the news. People rely on the news to know about whats going on in the world today, where to get good stuff cheap, what stock markets are going up, where our economy stands and what the weather is like. If we did not have the news we would not know any of these things. The news is a good and reliable source of whats going on in the here and now and about future events to come. For some its entertaining, but either way its a way of learning something new.

We learn something new everyday. Wether its new information from a book, a person, or the t.v. Television shows are not just for our entertainment or news, its learning something new about the world, economy, and the people in it. There are shows for children that teach them vocabulary, different languages, shape and colors. Same shows are for teenagers, adults and even the elderly. Producers have taken, from what studies show, that people learn more if something is fun or entertaining and broadcasting it on television. So I predict that not only will this learning process progress, but that in time people wont think that sitting and watching t.v. is a bad thing.
